Original 1950s navy blue silk dress with a fabulously detailed shawl collar neckline that is designed to look like a capelet but is in fact integral to the dress. The faux tie detail at the front has these very unusual 'frayed' ends designed to look like tassles. It is a very fitted style with Princess seams, three quarter length bracelet sleeves and a below-the-knee pencil skirt. The dress is fully lined in acetate with the Union Made label dating this to the late 1950s. No designers label is present but the dress is fabulous quality and in superb vintage condition. Best fit for a UK 8-10 or US 4-6.
